Fortinet has expanded its FortiEndpoint platform to provide organizations with greater control over the AI applications and agents used on employees’ computers.
The solution combines endpoint protection, incident detection and response, secure remote access, data protection and FortiAI-assisted operations. All capabilities are available through a single agent, a unified console and one license.
Administrators can identify which AI applications are installed or accessed through web browsers and detect the use of unauthorized tools, a phenomenon commonly known as shadow AI. Policies can allow, monitor, restrict or block applications according to the organization’s requirements.
Data Loss Prevention capabilities inspect information sent to AI services and can reduce the risk of sensitive data being uploaded. Users can receive real-time warnings and recommendations when an action conflicts with company policies.
BTS PRO can integrate FortiEndpoint with FortiGate, FortiSASE and other components of the Fortinet Security Fabric. Correlating information about users, devices, applications and data enables organizations to apply access rules based on the actual level of risk.
