Workshop "Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization with Containers"

On July 29, 2025, BTS, together with vendor Red Hat and distributor Exclusive Networks, successfully hosted the workshop "Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization with Containers" — a technical event dedicated to modernizing IT infrastructure through enterprise Kubernetes platforms.

The event was aimed at virtualization administrators (VMware, RHV), infrastructure architects, and DevOps specialists — professionals managing critical infrastructures who are seeking modern solutions for IT resource consolidation.

About the Event

Participants explored the capabilities of the Red Hat OpenShift platform to simultaneously manage virtual machines and containers within a single Kubernetes ecosystem. Through hands-on exercises conducted on their own laptops, each specialist configured, tested, and optimized real-world migration and application coexistence scenarios.

The agenda covered a wide range of technical competencies:

• Launching and managing VMs and containers in OpenShift

• Modernizing existing applications (lift & shift approach)

• Simplifying infrastructure without losing compatibility

• Configuring virtualization, networking, storage, and backup

• Introduction to OpenShift AI and applying AI models in business

Event Impact

The hands-on format allowed each participant to immediately apply the concepts presented, reinforcing theoretical knowledge through concrete scenarios. Direct interactions with Red Hat experts sparked valuable discussions about use cases specific to the enterprise environment in the region.
