From October 6 to 9, 2025, BTS PRO, in collaboration with Kaspersky, organized a technical workshop dedicated to the Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations solution.
The event had a practical format, focused on the direct application of knowledge in scenarios relevant to the working environment of IT and cybersecurity specialists. Participants had the opportunity to explore the capabilities of the Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations tier, as well as the process of designing and implementing a protection solution based on Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows 12.5, centrally managed through Kaspersky Security Center 14.2. These applications were indicated as the main components of the course in the technical program materials.
During the event, participants were guided by:
Bogdan Albu – Territory Channel Manager for Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova
Andrei Podubnâi – ULTRA Certified Trainer
The program included topics such as the installation and configuration of Kaspersky Security Center, the deployment of Kaspersky Endpoint Security, working with groups of managed devices, configuring security policies, and maintaining the implemented system. The course aimed to provide participants with the knowledge required to design, deploy, and administer a protection solution in a Windows network.
An important part of the workshop was dedicated to protection management. Participants analyzed how Kaspersky Endpoint Security protects workstations and servers, with a focus on configuring file protection, protection against network threats, web protection, and protection against complex threats. The program also included practical labs for testing protection against ransomware, fileless threats, and exploits.
The workshop also covered security control components such as Application Control, Device Control, and Web Control, offering participants a practical understanding of how applications, devices, and web access can be managed within an IT infrastructure. During the labs, application control scenarios and attacks on the enterprise network were simulated.
Another important module focused on root cause analysis and incident response. Participants worked with concepts related to Root-Cause Analysis, the deployment of Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum, and the preparation of the EDR solution for use in incident response scenarios.
In the final part of the program, administration, maintenance, and integration aspects were discussed, including Administration Server hardening, policy and task configuration, SIEM integration, vulnerability management, monitoring, reports, and the collection of diagnostic information.
By organizing this workshop, BTS PRO and Kaspersky provided participating specialists with an applied training framework focused on current endpoint protection technologies, centralized administration, and incident response. The event contributed to strengthening the technical skills required to protect modern IT infrastructures and efficiently manage Kaspersky solutions in enterprise environments.
